Hi,
Thanks for the heads up on this thread.
I had actually read it independently, but you are now the second person who has drawn my attention to it. A member pmed me too. warning me in very polite terms that the fish I am buying may not be as "wild" as advertised.
The question seems to be over one individual who is selling in the states. My UK contact has an order placed with this american supplier. I thought I would say thanks for both your "heads up".
I am not sure, no doubt due to my inexperience with festae, why it is such a big deal, if they are captives out of wild parents?
In the UK this is an uncommon species (again only in my experience) so i'm over-joyed to be able to get a group, wild or otherwise. I do know fish this small are collected and entered into the trade from personal experience, BUT that does not mean to say I know everything by any means, or that I know very much about the nuances of Festae in the pet trade, as I said they are a rarely seen fish to me.
As I say If I am missing a glaring difference between w/c and c/b in regards Festae please correct / point it out to me, I am ofcourse keen to learn from the very experienced members of this forum.
Regards to all who have contacted me, your words of advice and commentary are very welcome and appreciated.
