Festae's Pot

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i had a large syn a while back that did the "backing in" method on a flower pot that he couldnt fit in and it worked out for him

goodluck, that female is just WOW
like a friggin crayon!!!

It should be fine. I've had fish spawn in little caves that only the female could fit in. The male couldn't even fit in the hole so I don't know how, but they got fertilized.

Cuz sperm are like little tadpoles that have one goal, to find the egg.

Beautiful fish as always! You should have tried one of those 12" clay pots... I've seen videos of large festae spawning in those!

clay pots are like $0.89 lol... but this one works too. Good luck with them! Btw are you planning on selling the fry or you just want them to spawn for the sake of it?

Oh lol that's cheap, I don't shop for pottery often. I'm just trying for the sake of it but they probably won't spawn at their old age, we'll see.

ive always used flowerpots, i buy the big clay pots from the garden section, its a bit small but i think it will work
overall, if theyre like five bucks anyways and a nice clay one looks pretty cool ive always thought if it in a amazon
tank. love the festae best of luck overall

I don't really like the look of flower pots in aquariums but honestly I have them in my tanks. They are not the most natural or eye pleasing structures but they serve a purpose. Your male may be able to fertilize the eggs in the small pot. If not you could always get a larger pot. They are dirt cheap at craft and home improvement stores. You know I have my fingers crossed for you. You have to get that pair to spawn. Good luck!
