Great looking tanks. I too love the 125 show tank, and the stock list. For a while I have been trying to figure out if I could get a pair of Gt's and a pair of Jd's in a 125, but I think you've got the right idea with the milder of the two species being a pair, and the more aggressive of the species being the loner. I may just do something similar to that.

awsome. they are deffinatly a nice pair in my eyes. the female however is like 6years old, but my male is a young 2years... 
hopefully they keep it up for many more years

yeah it has worked for me so far. however i did have several more cichlids in here. had to thin them out, there was just to much fighting. big thin out came when i purchased my other 125. the cons are kinda my "hopefully" target fish for the jacks. one is almost 8years old now.
and the jack never bother the rainbows or the dollars, unless they breeding. the GT just goes on his way when they come around (the jacks normally are side by side). he really doesn't bother anybody, except a casual con chase. he is also around 5yrs. really don't know why he didn't get bigger
