Photo of the female shows that the dorsal blotch isn't always apparent.

I was also eying these on Jeff rapps list. I am worried because they are so small they might bloat up on me. Are they sensitive when young and do they grow slowly?

They can be sensetive when young, depending on what and how much your feeding. Feed frequent but sparingly and a least an hour before lights out. Although not proven i personaly believe bloat problems can also be attributed to feeding fish too late. Growth rates are pretty fast with varied diet and plenty of water changes.

I wouldn't worry about the bloat. I bought mine from Rapps and haven't had any problems. Just make sure you aren't over feeding, and giving a balenced diet. My ph is 7.6 and the water params are in good shape. Mine is growing pretty fast.
