He does look a look like the fish in your avatar. Im new to all this how can you tell the difference between a midas and a red devil?
To me he looks like a rd/midas hybrid. I see certain traits of both fish present in him. Regardless he is a nice looking fish.

as far as his temperment, normal for a midas/RD, and this is why I keep Midas/RDs & Flowerhorns, they have absolute insane personalties!

Carl is a very nice looking fish!
I love having a glassbanger like a RD or Midas. They are awesome fish with great personality.
My small Midas (4.25 inch) still is not showing very much hostility at this point but I'm hoping it just because he's got a roomy tank and does not care. But he is full of energy and comes up to the glass, always looking for food. He seems to act more like an Oscar at times. He even seems to like other people besides my wife and I. Oh well I must just have the most friendly monster of all.
