As long as the fast moving danios don't spook him by moving too fast for him it might work. Mine were doing good with silver dollars for awhile.

Update: Well he's still pretty shy but hes eating great and still isn't super comfortable while I'm near the tank. I think that's just because he has been so used to being in a 240 with a bunch of tankmates.
He killed one of the Danios last night so he's plenty active when nobody is looking!
