Looking for second opinion. This is a juvenile fh I haven't had long. He's growing like a weed and eats well with everyone in the tank. I just recently noticed his anal area looks prolapse? At first I didn't think much of it and thought maybe he was passing waste, but now I've noticed it's been a few days and it's still like this? A quick Google search informed me this is kind of common for fh? Water perimeters r fine, all rest of stock fine. Think this is something that won't pass and required a qt tank and meds, etc? When should I be alarmed. He seems 100% fine, activity wise.

Good it’s acting normal. Soak food in Epsom salt solution and cont from now on. It can go away and no specific time. If not better then continue food soaked with Epsom salt solution and dose some kanamycin to the tank.

I have the same issue with my Oscar. Just noticed it today. How much rosin salt to water do you use for the mixture to soak pellets?
Thanks

Got it. That seems easy enough. Is there a resource on the forums here that explains the precise process? Type of Epsom salt, soak time, amount, etc? Like the details. It okay to soak all food? Is that gonna be safe for all my other stock?

Pure epsom salt w/o any scent or so called additives. Epsom salt is fine to soak all food. Fine for all fish. What are you feeding?
