Well my first impression is your male is too small for the female I could see you having a hard time paring them. I would divide and let him grow more which will also let them get used to each other better.
Being divided and him getting more food and more space unless he has a genetic flaw he should logically catch up and grow larger then her I am assuming. It has been my past experience the one whom eats more grows more. Really want them to pair up long term so trying not to Forest Gump on the bathrobe with them.

Update... vented again and gently squeezed abdominal areas and the platinum fh milt released. So now i have 2 freaking males. Yes the platinum is all blue yeah but now a genetic screw up cuz showing zero signs of a quality KOK
