FH COLOR

This is my first FH was just wondering if he will develop a red color as he gets larger?

what size is he....look like 3 to 4" ..responding to u question...yes he will develop more color when he get bigger.

How long have you had it? I bet it will develop some red. Foods high in astaxanthin help a bit.

If you're going to keep him over that black gravel then most likely it won't.

it will get better but background and substrate will affect the way he looks. Read the stickies at the top of the forum for more info on the subject

that black gravel is good only for faders....you shud probably change the substrate wid some reddish pebbles here and there and get a cheery and colorful background or else ur fh might always have that darker coloration

alright I will change the gravel and background but if i leave the gravel and background the same for a year then change it will he automaticly get better color or will the dark substrate affect him and his color for life?

Will not have a very red but maybe a bit reddish than now. Nice flower line but weak pearls, is a strong guy though...
