Fh community tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've seen successful FH com tanks, but as Cam stated your best bet is to go with all males. Also, typically you would want more than just 4-5 fish to help spread any & all aggression around. Even with all males, I personally don't see it working long term in a 125 gallon tank. With only a few male fish, eventually one of them will most likely dominate & beat the tar out of the rest.

I agree with cam and RD's comments on this one.....I have seen FH Comm tanks, but It has to be a big *** tank!!!

sorry for the delayed reply comp is retarded
well i still think im gona try this if they pair off depending on the grade or aggresion i might put them in a 55 or 90 or sumting ,if things get bad i could always sell them(the low grade ones an keep a pair or a single one in the 125 untill i get a smaller tank for him/her selfs. my pleco is a clubber when picked on too might be an issue when they
get bigger or not. i am ready for bad things to happen, if the falis misrably ima make another CA/SA tank or move my old one to it. but this will be later on towrds x-mas.
thanks for the comment. feel free to still coment tho :)

It can work, but as stated, you need a big tank, and you need to overstock it a bit to spread the aggression..
As dithers, parrots work well, you wont need danio's etc..

Goodluck, it can be very hard to avoid a war..

Its only a dream!!

If it was that easy ALOT of us would have 5 BIG FH's swimming around and it would sooo lovely!!

I have two words for you!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

i pulled it off with 6 flowerhorn in a tank lasted about good 4-5 months. it was like watching world war 3 in HD, LOL. one way to pull if off. get something way bigger then what you have that way they have more space so roam around.
