Can a food be high quality and still have high fiber? I was introduced to a pellet that is 96% shrimp but has a fiber content of 14% .......they said this is due to the fact that there is so much shrimp content? Does this make any sense to you? Do you have any foods that have high fiber?

If you can provide us with some information on what you are trying to feed, we could provide some guideance. From everything we know about pellet production, it would be impossible to make a pellet that is 96% shrimp and keep it together.

From what you have provided we believe the product you reference is higher in shell meal or crab shell meal to get the fiber content they are listing. Additionally, as far as we know using modern pet food production technology, the only way to be able to use such a high level of shrimp in this type of diet is to make it using a non-extrusion type process which could allow unwanted bacteria to be a part of the food.

Thanks
