Hello all. I've built the plywood box for my proposed 50" W x 30" D x 45" H aqua-terrarium. I'm no carpenter and I have a Camry so that's why I have the weird measurements. I've always enjoyed mixed species vivariums especially ones combining aquatic and arboreal animals. I was inspired by the_deebs 300 gallon paludarium build which is one of the greatest zoo quality enclosures I've seen. Anyways it'll be glass in the front only, a water depth of 24" and I would like to do a diy trickle filter/sump below my tank. Now to my 2 questions
1. 2 part marine epoxy or Sanitred ? Pros and Cons of each ?
2. Should I cut holes out for my intake and return lines before I "waterproof" the inside ?
I've usually just used canister or power filters on my previous aquariums so a sump style system will be sorta new to me.
