Let me just say-Officiating is horrid!! And they need to do something about players rolling on the ground in agony-That is why a lot of Americans are turned off to soccer. Plus South Africa did a bad job-half of the games the stands were only half full.

some decent games but poor overall quality compared with 86 or 94 editions for example.
beside Forlan all major stars were a big disappointment.

That's what happens when you don't have Brazil in quarterfinal or beyond :D

Yea thats soccer, FIFA loves the human aspect of the game. I think goal line technology would be good though. Offsides and fouls are one thing, but when the ball passed the goal line, its a goal and there is nothing to judge.
And i really don't think thats why people in the US don't like soccer. Its seen as a kids sport where you play when you are young. American football and baseball have deeper roots and dominate the mainstream. Plus most american football fans see soccer as a weaker sport for some reason.
And regarding the seating, i recently read a few articles how it was FIFA's fault. Aside from high prices, access to tickets for locals without internet was a problem.

No technology ....Just good referees . I watched World Cup since 82 and never seen such a bunch of flakes until this year. Recruiting them from countries like Gabon and Bali was a huge mistake since they never experienced a high level game.

I agree I lose 3 of my best players to Football. Not because of the kids but because the parents didnt like soccer. Yeah but we need to stop having the World Cup in places that arent equipped to host it. Cant blame FIFA for empty stands-seen many WCs-first one with stands that empty.

Tired of hearing about Brazil!! The beautiful game-what all the other countries game is ugly. Im glad Brazil got eliminated and hope they never win again. They are the biggest sore losers ever!! And yuck the next WC in Brazil-barfffff!!
