How do you MFKr's do this? I am constantly fighting the urge to move things around or change the look of my tanks. I guess I love that new tank smell? I know that all the tanks are where they need to be and are stocked and mechanically sound, but it seems I always get an itch to change something or add something or BUY! something. Anyone else have this prob???
:screwy:

why would you stop moving stuff around
if I don't move it my fish will
there is nothing permanent about fishscaping

I do it all the time too. Mostly, I try to keep things the way I have it, but I suddenly get the urge to trim off a tall plant. So I replant the trimming. But then I have to move a rock to make a better spot. Then, that rock is blocking a cave, so I move the cave formation. Then, I notice I have a Cichlid holding. So she goes into a nursery tank. But I have to move the fry from the nursery into a community tank. And that tank has too many artificial plants, so some of those get moved to a breeder tank and I take the original plant trimming and put it in the community tank.

It never fails :)

I found a way on accident (for myself at least). I always had tanks no taller than 21", I now have one that is 24". Just that extra 3" of height keeps me out of the tank most days. I cannot see into the tank and rearrange things at the same time anymore. And now I have to stand on a bucket to reach the back bottom. It's just annoying to me. Unless I am doing a water change, I don't touch anything but cleaning up poop at the front of the tank with a turkey baster.

 Are we related?

I hope that you're not changing the Midas tank. It looks very good as is. I really like it. But I do know how you feel. I plan on doing a major change in the next few weeks too. I usually get aggravated during the process by some unseen mishap that always occurs. But it's always worth it in the end when I get to sit back on my sofa and watch the fish investigate their new surroundings. Then I start thinking, "I bet another fish would really like this set up." That leads to another trip to my LFS which is always good.

lol Joe, naww, unfortunately not. But we both are into our fish...not a bad thing!

im always changing fish or changing the aquascape to suit the fish or buying a new fish to suit the aquascape!!!!!!!!!!!! im in the process of gettin sum electric blue jd so my tank will more than likely change for these guys!!!

I'm doing it constantly too. I think the longest I kept my tank arranged a certain way was maybe a month... Then I started upgrading to only live plants (despite my Sevs always wanting a nice salad. lol ) Now I'm changing things around weekly. Good thing about this is that the fish always get thrown off and won't be as territorial. That's what I keep telling myself anyway. I definitely have an Alpha Gold Severum. He's a bully but I still love him. :naughty:
