Fight the urge to change things around..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am not as bad as I used to be now that I have some huge holey rock. When I just had mid sized pieces, I was jacking around with my set-up all the time.

I have heard it is good to regularly change your aquascape. Supposedly, it will keep fish from setting up a territory that can lead to fights defending it. Sounds logical, but I am not sure if it really matters.

I agree on the taller tanks being a deterrent. My tanks are 24", 26", and 30" tall. Working inside a 30" tall tank is a pain!

See I have a "tallness" problem, I'm only 5'2" so re-doing the 55 requires me to have a step stool. So I don't touch that one too much... and really I have to tippy-toe for the 20g.. so that one is not much of a problem either.... so my "change" itch only comes around about every 3 months or so... :D

I'm 5'6" and my tank is 24" tall and then raised up on the cabinets. I always get the urge to play around with the decor, particularly if I'm bored. But I know it's time to end it for the night when my arm and shoulder get sore from holding my arm at an awkward angle and from rubbing against the edge. lol

Y'all are lucky... Unless I buy like a 300+ gallon I can never use the height excuse, i'm 6'6 hahaha :D

Honestly i don't mess around with my set ups too much, although I am gonna buy some pieces from manzman soon i think

LOL! I am glad to see everyone deals with this. And no, I am fighting the urge daily not to change the Midas tank, plus i get bit when i move stuff around in there. I guess it helps having more tanks because you can kinda focus on one tank and leave the others alone or you get some sort of releif from looking at mltiple setups within your own domain. I still would like a tank (or two) in every room in the house. But I am married and I have to share my house with her and the kid. New tank syndrome 4eva!!!

I used to have this problem. Just buy a 220 gallon with a 30" tank height, and an overall height of 6' 1"...its a pain to decorate

still doesn't help us tall people :[
