Fighting fish in new 300 gallon. Help!

You have an 8' tank, and, live in Canada? How about a nice Asian Aro? That should change the dynamics with time?
 
This one is not the finest specimen but I'm hoping now that I have her she will colour up a bit more. Can be sooooo beautiful. Happy to let you know that with the addition of these two fish they are all moving about with no serious beating being delt by one fish to another. Might have two severums and a JD added soon.
 
JD sounds alright...but a Severum. I've never had one, but I hear they're pretty meek.
