I have seen jewels work fine. I am just not a fan of them

just give your africans lots of hiding spots (they love cave work) and visual barriers... fake plants or or bigger rocks work great.

Yes I read that Ive added plants and so far the tank seems pretty peaceful Iam sure when some get older I may have a couple of problems but that just part of keeping fish I quess. Iam learning slowly but surely. Thanks for the help its much appreciated. Pat
