Figure 8 puffer went mental

The puffer won't shred the plants, just other fish and shrimp in the tank. Give him some ghosties to play with, but if this is a new tank, let the cycle finish out. Puffers don't do well in new tanks. Also, stick with Figure 8s and only get one more. Get 20 ghost shrimp though! And krill so they have something frozed/freeze dried to eat as well.

LIke I said, sticking to figure 8's would be the best idea! I also think the ghost shrimp are a great idea, the puffers love hunting them and seem to have fun trying to catch them! My freshwater puffer and spotted puffer shredded up several plastic and live plants before so I figured these might do the same ?
Can you suggest some plants that will do well in brackish water for me ? The only plant life I ever had thrive in a brackish tank was algae!

Umm, I think Anacharis can live in brackish, and once I get my light, I am getting some for my "fuge" but if you want to use fake plants, I like TopFin plants. They are cheap and have really nice bases. If you keep the puffer fed he will be happy.

yea they live fine and i know they are happy enough to breed in both conditions
