Well I just figured out why the red devil is on one side of the tank and the rest of the fish are on the other. Also explains why there has been so much aggression the past couple of days.

As far as I know this is her first batch of eggs. I have also noticed that my Amphilophus Hogaboomurus has been extremely aggressive and chasing off everyone in the tank. Is it possible for those two to breed together?

More then possible. Will likely end up as barred devils until about 7 inches, then turn gold/red. The red color in devils is incompletely dominant(one dose=late color change, double dose=early color change).

It is totally possible, and that would explain the aggression.

That makes no sense genetically speaking.

eh?

hes just saying that chances are it will show no color until larger size. not a true barred but smaller rds are grey with bars until they get bigger.
