So sorry for your loss..i know that is a real bummer... nothing to me sweeter then a baby arow .. but they are fragile and unless they start eating something theres nothing you can do..
Sorry to hear about your loss. I keep 4 oz. of live blackworms alive for a week and a half with no problems. I just keep them in a container, change the water everyday, and put them in the fridge. This is how the LFS keep theirs alive so I just followed and no problems.
whats weird is i only feed the tank that u got it from 2 times a day and i feed it smelt. and mines taking the really small pieces. they were about the same size. that really sucks... but forsure both ours were taking live black worms since the day i got them.
That really sucks man sorry for the loss. Can't attempt to give advice never had an African arow. But I have experience at loosing them:very frustrating and you almost feel at blame.(at least I did)
U Did the best you could do man, but nature wouldn't allow success. My only advice is don't give up and shoot for an established 1 footer next time maybe. Take care. ---J
He's in a 75 for now until the 180 gets here and he's only a year old and believe me he's not thin. Weighed it once and it was 4 lbs almost 5 lbs by now and 23" inches long. Eats sinking carnivore pellets twice a day and frozen bloodworms once a day.
