You are correct, the CK is going to be on his way once I find a responsible home. He is being advertised locally at a LFS and has been for about a month now. I have had a few interested, but not quite ready for a fish of that nature. He was the first as my daughter chose him. However, I disagree with filaments and geo's. I would be hard pressed to find any real difficulty with those two particular species being kept together.

Genius, that tank is already overstocked. Anyone can see that, you expect to keep all those fish together? Geos, blood parrots, clown knife( Which get to be 3 feet), sen.(gets up to 14") and 6" dithers? You are definitely gonna need a bigger tank, compared to my 4 fish? You my friend are the one who needs to learn fishkeeping.
fishjude, I see you are wound very tight and have a difficult time taking criticism. Was it I who pushed you over the edge or the 30 other comments prior to mine about your community. Unfortunately, you've had to publicly humiliate yourself by using the term "genius" in your reference to me. Of course I am not, but you certainly are, and I am honored to have met such a person of your caliber. It is quite obvious you dont know me or anything about me...BTW, is it St Cloud near Spring Hill...asking because I am not a genius like you stated earlier...that I disagree with.

As I said, "for me it was bad, for you it will likely be OK". Below you can see.

You know what? I apologize, I admit I don't take criticism very well, especially over the internet.... I do act immature sometimes, but I am a 15 year old, I do feel embarassed for all the fights I've gotten into on here.... I am a responsible fish keeper in my opinion, at least... I've come a long way, I did do research about FH though, I'm just a bit impulsive.... So I apologize for being rude, I just get defensive over the internet...

And simply by your response you show that you are a responsible fishkeeper and I hope you continue to enjoy what you're doing. Do not feel embarassed by any of your responses...passion is a gift. Just know where the line is. I think its awesome to see a 15 year old being responsible enough to, not only be involved in this website, but to have a real desire to keep fish as a hobby. I pray my 15 year old decides to do what YOU are doing. Good Luck and continue to learn so you can teach all of us old folks how to keep fish.

Yep, the Altifrons tried to eat a 3.5" male filament barb.

I hope so. I am sure I will have questions for you. I ask questions often.

I hope I dont mirror your situation. My Geos are actually jurupari and they are 6", the barbs are 4". Right now I am probably fine. I hope they grow at a similar rate, though my filaments are ridiculous fast growers. As well they are crazy fast. If their size difference starts to be a concern, I may have to move them. I'll keep an eye out.
