i do water changes in my 90g and 210g every 5 or so days. I add prime before i add the new water to the fish tank. The thing is that the water i add is probably around 60 degrees where as the fish tank sits around 80 degrees. it really seems to harm them when the water drops about 10 degrees or so. my oscar sits still at the bottom of the tank and my johanna freaks out. poly and snakehead dont mind. I do a water change of about 50% every time. What are the cons if any?
i know its not right but what should i do/change

lol only have one hose and its connected to my washing machine. its either really hot water or cold water. could start filling it with half and half

Hey, have you tried putting your water into a holding tank (like a 20gallon or even a container) and heating it to the same temperature as your tank water, then adding it?

no i have not i have some kind of container but that would be pretty heavy to move and the tank almost being at eye level. thanks for the thought tho

Guess the only thing you can do now is split the water change into smaller %

thank you mamma ;)

Do you have a laundry tub or sink near your washing machine?
