Thanks for all the replies. I'll probably go with an fx5. That DE filter does look interesting. I have a magnum 350 that works really good. It's slightly noisy though.

My Magnum 350 was a good filter... and noisy also... the DE filter is an incredible filter in comparison though!
My Hayward EC40 DE filter was about $200 delivered from Amazon. Of course you would need a pump to go along with it though.
