Filter bag ???

I am interested in going with a filter bag setup for my sump. Mt question is, do filter bags float or sink....mine would have to be partly underwater do to my sump design. I tried pantyhose for a cheap bag, but it floated and was a pain, plus it didn't catch alot.

I am thinking of going 100 or 200 micron......any suggestions?

Depends on what you have in them. The more surface area your media has the more prone it will be to try to float as it has more trapped air.

For example a sponge floats while a rock doesn't.
