Filter for a 55 gallon

Only thing I found when I had my Emperor 400, there was no real flow on the opposite end of the tank. So I cured this by getting another Emperor 400. I ran the 2 together until I recently replaced them with my XP3. Another cure would have been just adding a powerhead on the opposite end of the tank. But since I like overstocking, I opted for another 400. Great filters. :headbang2
 
The AC 110 is by far the most easiest filter , 1 sponge , 1 carbon , 1 bag biomax , or double up on sponge (your preference ) but always have the biomax on top , for a 55 , no problem , i have 2 on a 100 ga.

yeah the only thing is that with longer tanks you either need two filters or may get away with one in the middle, but it just too easy to keep them to the side and hide everything all at once:cry: lol
