xp1 and the ac110s then .... get em used ,youll be WAY overfiltered on a budget
 
what about putting the sump in the next room behind the tank

Not possible, i'm in a townhome renting and I don't believe they will like me putting a big hole in the wall :P I'll probably just go with the 2 ac110's and hook up the xp1 if I need it. There isn't going to be to many fish in the 75, mainly breeding pair of HRP's and maybe a few more. Anything that I get that will grow to large will move to the 220, so not a big bio-load going on in the 75.
 
Remember overheads and canisters arent meant to establish "flow". Flow and filtration are two totally different things the only time they are the same is when someone has a closed loop system. Like the FX5 states "Filters 400 gallon" which is true, but it wont establish the needed flow for a 400 gallon. So remember when you use canisters and overhead you STILL need to establish flow with fan powerheads.

Already ordered the 2x110's and 300 fluval heater and powerhead(wavemaker) :) Thanks everyone
