.

the red is where the holes are. the image is of a different series tank but close enough.

The 2 on the outside are for heaters and the two in the middle are for HOB filters..

You can use them whatever way you want to though. ;)

ah that makes sense actually, never thought of those for heaters. okay so there's slots for "HOB" filters hmmmm. Well that opens up some options as well I guess. I'm still maybe leaning toward overflows in each rear corner. A sump of some sort, and a canister filter in series.

retics will outgrow that tank in a year for sure. they are a smaller ray but they have a very long tail. maybe try a hystrix they are smaller also but dont have the really long tail.

:):):)I am running 2 ac 110s and a lifeguard fluidized bed filter model 900 on a 240 and I haven't had any problems at all. Overfiltering with rays and discus seems to be the key as well as regular big water changes. I agree, they will outgrow that tank within a year if healthy and eating properly. With three motoros, one leo cross, and a tigrinus I will have to upgrade in a year or so too, my wife just doesn't know it yet.

LOL I like your style....my wife has no idea about the conservatory with tropical pond, I am waiting for her to become attached to the rays first:banhim:
