So i just recently added sand to my 75 gallon tank on thursday and i hava noticed that my hob filter keeps cutting off and if o tap on it it works again any idea what the problem could be

probably sand damage ... what kind of hob?

Is it play sand?
Play sand is very easily stirred up and ends up sucked into the filter, and destroying impellers.
This is a reason pool filter sand is more often recommended, as it is heavier and less likely to get into filters.

Its not play sand i use the pool sand and i will clean it up and shove a sponge on it

When I use new PFS I rinse with a hose outside (in winter a basement laundry tub), using a strong flow and stirring until it runs almost clear, then do a water change in one of my tanks, rinsing the sand again with tank water to season it a bit. It usually clears in a day or 2 with that method
I would thoroughly clean out the volute where the impeller rides to be sure no small grit is causing friction.

do a waterchange, this should help clear water.. aquatech's get noisy pretty esasy if they are anything like penguins(and they are...I am told)probably need to get a new impellor and a pre filter for the intake....
