I have two aged power filters (aqua tech 40-60) on my tank and thinking of replacing them, and have 3 questions....
1) Has anyone here heard of Aquaclear power filters?
2) Is any one at this time using them?
3) What is your opinion of them?
These would be going on my 100 gal. tank, with a sump I hope to get up and running soon.(leaky hose)
Thanks, in advance:D

The AC110 is a great filter, however I personally prefer canisters to HOB filters. The bio-capacity is much higher on canisters than on HOB filters.

1: Yes
2: No but my neighboor does
3: It's a great H.O.T.B filter, but canisters and biowheels better. Since you are having a wet/dry set up also, I'd say you can go with the AC110-500. Its the same filter. With the wet/dry set up too, I say yes. W/O the wet/dry, I say canister.

i'd just go with a simple w/d. they're easy to make, easy to maintain, and cheap plus they work way better than anything else i've used.

Two AC110's...one set-up as a biologial filter and the other set-up for mechanical filtration. Then work on your W/D to perfect it.
