filter setup wrong

just realised that iv had my eheim 2028 media baskets in the wrong configuration and that i never even had the gasket sitting correctly that seals the top media basket to the pump,
no wonder my water in that tank was always unclear !
and no wonder all my discus 9 of them died
what a fool i am !

Sorry for your loss! Dont be too hard on yourself, this whole fish tank thing is a learning process! I have been doing this 20+ years and make more mistakes then I care to admit too.
