what size to get is all personal preference. how clean do you want your water to be, and how often do you want to be changing the socks? 200 wasnt enough for me. went to 100 and it was nice, but i wanted even cleaner water so i went to the 100/50 combo. on my planted tank i run 25 micron socks. stupid clarity
