Anyone know where the cheapest place to get them is? I haven't decided on the diameter I will use yet but I've had bad luck searching for them

I run mcmaster socks. They have 100 micron sewn into 200 Micron. Using 2 different stages in the same sock significantly improves time needed to plug up.........

i got my socks off http://www.aquaticeco.com/ but their shipping sucks and you have to pay a surcharge if you dont order over 30 bucks worth of stuff.

Those 2 in 1 bags have a stainless steel retaining ring at the top, they dont rust do they? Im interested in these.

Probably just throw it in the washer thats how I clean my regular filter socks

I get mine from jehmco, and when they get plugged, I bleach them overnight (the bleach oxidizes organic matter), and let them dry in the sun. Just in case there is Cl2 residue, little rinse and add a little sodium thio or calcium thio with the socks in a bucket, and back in the sump. I always have some clean and waiting, while others are on working.
