I found out the type I have is called the neon pothos. Here is a pic of the actual cutting so you can see I simply set the cutting into the water.

Here's an update. I took this picture a couple days ago. You can see where it's starting to put out roots. Should start growing like wild.

Very cool! Cutting the vine at a notch and at a 90° angle helps alot!

F1 your one of the reasons I decided to try this. I don't have a nitrate problem (water changes). I just want to improve water quality wherever I can. Decided to give it a shot.
