Is this for a planted tank or fish only? If it is a fish only, I'll move it. If it is for a planted tank, read the stickies in the section.
 
These are the filters I have avalible... Which one... I was thinking the Ehiem.

Rena XP2 - 300 GPH . Recommended for aquariums up to 75 gallons

Rena XP3 - 350 GPH . Recommended for aquariums up to 175 gallons

AC 20 - 100 GPH. Recommended for aquariums up to 20 gallons

AC 70 - 300 GPH. Recommended for aquariums up to 70 gallons

AC 110 - 500 GPH. Recommended for aquariums up to 110 gallons

Eheim 2217 - 264 GPH. Recommended for aquariums up to 160 gallons

For planted tank basically HOB's are bad, becase the co2 gets out when the water hits the surface of the tank.
 
For a planted set-up you definitely want a canister. I know a lot of guys will tell you to go with the eheim(and they are great filters), but you can get an XP3 for 75.00 at petsmart right now with their online price match and the $30 manufacturer's coupon also on the site. It'll be tough to beat that for the money.
