So I plan on getting a 90 gallon in the near future and im pondering how to filter it. I know the question is really broad but I want a system that won't cost too much money with skimping on filtertion. So I was thinking having an aquaclear and a canister filter but the price of canisters has gone up and I can't find them cheap anymore. I was also thinking maybe a sump would be easier? Any suggestions?

The stock list will include...

A pair of Nicargauan cichlids(starting with 4 juviniles)
A pair or two flier cichlids
a bristlenose pleco
possible a raphael catfish
A small group of sailfin mollies(lets say 4-6)

I have an xp3 and AC110 on my 90. I would say our stock list is fairly similar, have a plec, raphael, two large cichlids, sd's. Keeps my tank looking great, specially the xp3. Might be a little expensive tho...i found mine online when they had like a 15% off w shipping and then found coupons. Ha I felt the same way, and couldnt drop a ton either.
