in regards to the 4th opening in the UGF;
prob not necessary to add another powerhead if youre low on $$, but def dont leave it open. the water will flow through the path of least resistance. IE it will go in the other 3 openings and out the 4th, mostly bypassing the gravel.
so plug, or put a powerhead on it.
