Just ordered today and hoping that it will arive this week sometime.

I thought maybe i'd add my 2 cents i run a 230 gallon tank with 2 Fx5's and a
404 fluval, also i have 2 seio 2600's in it i wish i had drilled the tank or bought the biggest ehiem possiable but to late for that good luck hope it works out for ya, but i don't recomend the Fx5's over Ehiem next time maybe

So I got 2 Fx5's here now.

I'm going to fill up one canister with 3 basket of scorching sponges.
the 2nd canister, I am going to fill 2 baskets up with biomax and the 3rd basket with other types of phosphate/nitrate/ammonia removing pads..and maybe a little bit of carbon..

I hope this is good enough to run a bare tank.. Let me know what you guys think now..

Eheim 2262 looks insane! That thing is huge!

Too late.. but what do you think about me using 2 fx5's to run the 200 gallon
with bare tank?

Come on now MFK'ers I'm sure he knows by now that he might have made a mistake.IDK, I don't own either one. It's his decisions, let's try to help him with his immediate question not dwell that he chose the FX5 over an Eheim.

Like stated before I don't own a FX5, but I here their great. I'm sure two will do just fine if you keep up with weekly 50% water changes. I'm getting one for my 125, which will also be bare. :)

anyway...i guess 2 fx5's should be enough, depending on your stock, of course.
