filtration for 180g?

My 180 gallon is filtered with a wet/dry, 2-Rena XP4's and 1-AC110. It may be overkill, but my bad water parameters and cloudy water are all a thing of the past!

can i put a 3 drawer plastic cabinet thing , drill it on the bottom of each drawer ( with media in each drawer) than put it in a big rubber tub with a pump , to pump it back

yes, there are a few people that have done that and the perfect size of hole for water flow is 1/8". Just check out the DYI section for some ideas, I used to have a rubbermaid sump but it got a small crack in it so I made a new out with a glass tank...

I think it is because I had my heaters in the rubbermaid sump. but I must say I do like the glass tank more because I can see what is going on.
