We just finished setting uf a new 600g sytem in my friends lfs. We used a single large rubermaid sump and turned a plastic garbage can into a monster bio chamber. While having multiple filters is nice its realy not neccasery. When you step up to the large volume pumps they are really designed to run for a very long time. Your much more likely to lose your filter due to a poweroutage. The key thing to remember is to run a drain line from the sump into your regular house drain (I would also recomend a check valve to prevent backflow.) The return line is split to run through a quad stack Rainbow UV (A Must for lage tanks). His system being salt also has a monster protien skimmer running out of the sump and a full ro steup for bi weekly 100g water changes. I hope that i too can be of help in here one day.
