ok i have a uv filter which came with the tank and its too big and i dont use the uv, so iam planning on buying another filter for it and afterits fully cycled sell the uv filter on,
i have rounded it down to 2 choices either
the Eheim 2217 and a fluval 4 giving 265+260gph=525gph
or a tetratec 1200 and a fluval 4 giving 317gph+260gph=577gph
both are simular priced, i want the best one for reiability, small-ness as its in my bedroom and quitest.
:screwy:
or any other filter setups like this, remmeber usa mfk'ers we dont have ac110:screwy: here in the uk

I say go for Eheim. I have two and they never have failed on me. I love them, but their flow rate is slow. : /

Great filter nonetheless.

I'm running 2 fluval 404's on my 135 and 2 304's on my 75, I've never had any problems with fluval, they are quiet and flow great. Not sure if your into ebay or not but you can get the 4 series equipment for good deals. 404's for 96.95 free shipping and 304's for 72.95 free shipping. Good deal for a good filter, I know they are not the 5 series but who cares they work. The only thing between the 404's and the 304's, I have a tougher time priming the 404's other than that they rock.

Try magnum 350 I read on one web site that it's their top one choice 350gph I'm using a fluval 404 also look's great but I think my magnum does a much better job just my 2cents.

we have them but there none on ebay??? can only find the 05 404 series, but i can find all spare parts for the 04 series????

i got a xp3 on my 75 its great, you can get them for 90 on big als. and they have 350gph. i know its not in picks but you can still look at them. i love mine works great no leaks no problems

ok whats the best combo:
rena filstar xp3+fluval 4=610gph
fluval 404(usa)405(uk) same filter+fluval 4=610gph
the Eheim 2217 and a fluval 4=525gph
or a tetratec 1200 and a fluval 4=577gph
there al simular price but iam looking for the quietest, smallest, best for heavy-med stock of med sized cichlids?
thanks for all your help up2 now:)
