Filtration for a 450g

My 450g has 3 drains 2 returns 1 of the drains i was gonna but a ball valve for water changes other 2 were gonna drain into the sump

JK47 JK47 should be able to chime in with some useful info.

One question tho you mentioned the drains are 1.5 inch but are there other drains drilled ? Does the setup have emergency drains ? If so then you should size everything to match what the e drains can handle.

Drains under full siphon pull much more water than gravity fed drains, are u using any valves ?

Not much else for me to chime in with. ragin_cajun ragin_cajun offered up the same thing (to the pumps) I would have recommended. Big K1 sump and higher turn over, done. I have a lot of tanks done this way as well and you can't argue with proven methods. I'm setting up a 180 gallon K1 sump for one of my setups right now actually.
