i take it that you like eheim filters then :)

i'll go to the good pet shops on saturday. see if he has any in stock. if not he should order one in for me, or give me advice on making a sump (as the 3ft will be empty). he tends to get the oddballs in stock. so he should have some usefull information for me. i also get to pick up my polypterus. only a baby one but still a polypterus.
:headbang2

thanks for the help. now 'The Tank' might not be a disaster after all.

You should try shopping online, the prices are usually a lot better then at pet stores... try dr. fosters and smith. I know at my local pet store, the emperor 400 is going for $80, online it is onsale i think for $39.

will do... but by the time you add the postage, it sometimes isnt worth it. especially if it doesnt work when you get it. some sites charge for postage back to the sites warehouse, and then out again. and you dont get the advice, or the conversation like you would at a shop.

still worth a try though eh?

and its gonna be a while till its up and running anyway. i bring in £170 a week. its gonna take me months to get everything... should stay living at home, instead of getting my own place... would have the tank filled with water in a month, and be halfway through cycling it... hope my fish dont outgrow my 3ft in the possible years till i get 'The Tank'. i dont feed them much though, maybe once every few days, so they havent grown much yet. well... :)

try living seas FREE postage

i can see what you mean if you buy a eheim it will work 100% :D

You can get some pretty cheap canister filters that'll work wonders. Try teaming up two Rena XP3 filters, or two Eheim 2217 (small, but powerful). Both of these are dirt cheap (when considering how good they are), and if you mix them with AquaClear filters, you're set.
