try an Eheim, their pretty damn good.
i have both Eheim 2028 pro 2 and FX 5 on my 120 gal, ill post the picture for the millionth time.
u can never have enough bio filtration. Eheims are great for that.

TO the OP if you are not going to have a stand see if you can put the canister on the other side of the wall if it backs up to a garage. Otherwise place the canister on the side of the tank
As long as its functional thats what counts to me

for the canisters do there have to be holes in my tank for an overflow?? it doesn't have any and it's made of glass...

no way!! canister filters come with their own style. they use intake tubes to suck water through the canister and back out through an outtake tube.
u don't need to buy anything else. that's the sweet thing about canister filters, u get everything u need in one box!!! sometimes u need to buy the media.. Eheims usually come with it though.

P.s. i always thought it was called ''E'' heim, its pronounced ''A'' heim - Germans make good filters with strange names.
