Filtration Question.

OOPS. I made a wrong assumption in my math. I did the math a long time ago for a Penguin 150 bio-wheel and used a direct ratio for their sizes rather than doing the 'pie are square' thing (makes a difference). I didn't add for the clam shells either. It is hard to say what they are equivalent to since they can contain anything. I didn't add for the replaceable pad because you wouldn't want to consider mechanical filtration that is replaceable. If you don't replace it, it won't have to cycle each time and you could consider it for bio if you don't clean it in a way that will harm the bacteria.

Eight pads each? Wow, that really is cramming them in. See if you can get by with just cleaning the first pad. That way it will leave the bacteria culture in tact in the other pads. Another alternative is to just clean the first one, and then move the others up one notch and put the cleaned one in the back.
