filtration question

i just wanna know if this would work


submersible pump on tank going to sump
then another submersible pump on sump to tank


just wanna know coz im out most of the time and if i drill the tank it may flood the room

or would an overflow be a better idea

An overflow would be a much better idea. A pump going from the tank to the sump is almost guaranteed to cause an overflow at some point.

You'd be happier with drilling the tank. It will open up a world of options for you. You will need to design it so that the tank does not drain when the pump is shut down.

thats what i did to my other tanks.
but im way too busy now and i dont really have enough time to do that so id just stick with an overflow with this one
