I just bought a 125 gallon tank for $100 and I want to know what's the best (affordable) filtration setup I can use? Freshwater natives so I'd like to have 200 gallons or more of filtration power, that sentence makes sense I my head lol.
Is the tank drilled for an overflow? If its drilled you can set up a sump. I love the old 55 gallon tank. It's cheap and simple to modify to a nice sump.
Check out my 180 sump build and it explains how easy the sump is to set up.
I'd put two Aquaclear 110s on that thing and call it a day. $65ea shipped on Amazon. Cheap and easy to clean. Two would provide enough waterflow for the length of the tank.
