guys i am getting my 200gal tanks ready because i am picking up micropeltes SH on friday. obviously they are not going into these tanks just yet because they are only 6". in the meantime i want canisters etc to run in my other tanks so i can move them into my 200gal tanks once they are cycled.

soooo what sort of filtration, pump etc am i looking at? i thought eheim? throw suggestions at me, i need these two tanks to be heavily filtered because they will be housing three channa for a year i think until i get something else set up.

Fluval FX5 is the only canister filter I would use.

Other than that...I would suggest a sump.

What size grow out are we talking about here? The FX5 is a great suggestion also AC110 or an eheim 2260 or 2262 if you have the money. Ultimately if they were my tanks I would have an FX5 on each and a sump on each.

fx5 as was stated by the 2 previous posters, Rena XP4, or if you want to spend some $$ ocean clear.

personally, id take the fx5 :)

some people told me to go eheim? i'll go and check out the fluval fx5 on saturday :) thanks peeps

Yeah the fluval Fx5 has capability pumping over 900 gph so that should be plenty of flow for a 200

That rating is only when the canister is empty. With media the FX5 will drop to about 450-600gph.

Anything yet ?

regardless, its still one of the best for the money. Its plenty of flow even with media.
