i need some filtration to go along with my fx5 i'm selling my sump cause if the power goes off i'm afraid that it will overflow tank size 220g all my fish are small but will eventually get big so i 'll have about 250 to spend next week any ideals

O and by the way how can it overflow your tank if the power goes out? won't the pump be shutoff?

it drains back down the return pipes which if i had them out the water it wouldn't but then they splash to much and my tank evaporates faster
plus it's alot louder too

I'm guessing the return piping is in the middle of the tank, so if the pump stops, it'll drain half the tank into the sump, overfilling it.

not that far down maybe 4 or 5 inches under water enough to overflow my sump
thinking maybe a bigger sump would help
