I disagree...
I would consider "ideal" to be a custom designed filtration approach that takes quantity of fish, size of fish, type of fish, decor, substrate, size/shape of tank, feeding, etc, etc...
Slapping a suggestion of X~Y turnover is nothing more than a blanket "rule of thumb" suggestion that fails to take any real detail into consideration...
Such "rules of thumb" are very valuable to those who do not want to think their filtration through, but they are useless in the design of a logical custom filtration approach...
