Thanks guys. I just got a 90 gal for free without a filter, hood, or light. Need to get those items without breaking the bank!

Don't get a hood. Just get a piece of glass cut to the right size, it'll be much cheaper.
You can get 2 and connect them with a sort of stick in plastic hinge thing (sorry I'm not being very descriptive) so that it can angle open if you'd like.
As for lights, you can really use almost any kind if you're not trying to grow plants, so no reason to spend a lot of money there. But even though it's initially more expensive, you'll save money on light bulbs and electricity with LEDs.

Cheap, efficient air driven sponges. Very cost effective.
